Christmas day was the best morning ever when I was a kid. I mean we all got new socks and mainly clothes on Christmas and most of the time it was all new school clothes for the next year till the next Christmas. Every kid hates it when it is all clothes and no other things they expected that year. Many times I would say I must have been naughty because all I got was clothes. Then after all those presents were opened and we were kinda disappointed, there was another present that had been kept hidden somewhere, never know where because I swear I searched everywhere for presents, The thing we wanted that year was brought out and the disappointment melted away fast. It was that the older we got the more expensive the presents was we wanted. Sometimes we got what we wanted but sometimes it was a second choice but it was all good. We were happy that year. Then all the cooking that was done, the house smelled of dressing and turkey, fresh biscuits not to mention all the pies and cakes that were baked. Now I think of that and do my best to work at making sure my grandkids have the best Christmas possible it is not always easy but when their faces light up on Christmas morning it was all worth it.
I know we, as kids did not get everything we wanted for Christmas but it was still a fun day with family and some friends. Our kids may not get everything they want for Christmas either but I look at it as long as there is family and we are together it makes the best Christmas ever.
I just wanted to say Merry Christmas to all of you here on Hive because I consider a lot of you family. We may not be able to get together but we do read about each other's ups and downs in life and what we are striving to accomplish here on the blockchain. We will start a new year soon and I wish that it is a better year than the last one for each and every one of you.
