Hello, steem people! Welcome to my page!
I've been growing a lot of tomato plants this year. I have 10 plants in the greenhouse, and 11 out in the raised bed in the garden. All of the plants have tomatoes on them now, and lots of flowers. I've been waiting to see the first tomatoes starting to get ripe, and I finally have a few turning red.
These are the Early Girl plants in the greenhouse, there's a few tomatoes that are almost ready to pick now.
The other plants in the greenhouse have a lot of tomatoes on them, but none of them are changing color yet.
Out in the raised bed, the tomato plants are not as advanced as the greenhouse plants, they were planted later. Still, there's a fair amount of tomatoes starting to grow on the plants. These are San Marzano paste tomatoes.
These are the heirloom Brandywine tomato plants.
These plants are heirloom Black Krimm plants.
This is a look at the raised bed with all the tomato plants.
I was going to trim the plants and remove the sucker stems, but the plants have already developed to the point that there's little tomatoes all over them and I don't want to cut off the stems with tomatoes on them. I guess I'm going to have to just let the plants go feral to some extent. I can still remove all the newer smaller sucker stems so that the plants will put more energy into developing the tomatoes that they already have. When all these tomatoes start getting ripe, I think I'll be doing a lot of canning!
That's all I have for this post, thanks for stopping by to check it out!
