Well, it's been almost a week since my last post, and I just haven't had much of interest to write about. The last post that I wrote was about working on getting one of the exhaust manifolds out of my pickup truck so that I can replace it and get the exhaust pipe bolted back up to it. The bolts for the exhaust pipe were so rusted into the manifold, and half rusted away, that there was no way to fix that. A new manifold is the best way to solve that problem. Since that last post, we've had more than a foot of snow. Since I don't have a garage, the snow becomes a problem for working on the truck. Also, I have to wait until my next payday to buy the manifold, so that project is on hold for a couple more weeks at least.
Another project that I haven't worked on in a while is my 4 string guitar body. My last post about that was a couple months ago.

I really need to get back to that project. I'm actually pretty close to finishing it, I just need to decide where, and how to mount the volume and tone controls, and then do the wiring and it will be mostly done. There's still the matter of putting a finish on the body, but that comes after all the other work is done.
Now that it's definitely winter here, I've started working on my winter indoor hobbies. I have several different hobbies that I work on in the winter. I mostly decide which one that I work on depending on what grabs my interest on any given day. For the past few days, I've been spending some of my time in the evening working on putting my old HO scale model train cars and engines on my display shelves on one of the walls in my room. I took this picture earlier today. I have several different scales of model railroad on display on the shelves. As you can see, my workbench is basically organized chaos.
At the bottom of the previous picture is another project that I just got back into working on, a tube amp that I've been converting to a guitar amp. This project has been just sitting since last spring, I finally got the urge to work on it again. I'll probably write a post about this amp project in the near future, but here's a couple of pictures of what it looks like right now.
I wrote a post about a week ago about a couple of boxes of pre WW2 Lionel tinplate train stuff that had been given to me.

I finally got around to putting up a shelf to display most of the cars that were in the boxes. I couldn't put them all on this shelf, there's not enough space for them all.
I still need to take the shelf board down and put a clear finish on it. I also want to get some Lionel O-27 tinplate track to display the cars on instead of just having them on the shelf.
Winter is the time of year where I don't go out of the house very often. I basically go out to fill the bird feeder when it needs it, move snow when it's necessary, go to the occasional appointment, or the store if I need stuff. The rest of the time, I'm in the house. I've gotten more sensitive to the cold as I've gotten older, so I don't enjoy winter activities anymore. Of course, this tends to push me in the direction of seasonal affected depression. So far, I'm doing pretty good, I'm hoping I'll have a better winter this time around. I'm trying to be more proactive about it, and my winter hobbies are one of the things that I do to help deal with it.
Oh yes, one more thing. I've finally recently passed the 3000 SP mark, so I'm pretty happy about that. With steem price being what it is, my SP doesn't give me a very big upvote, basically 2 cents, but that's also not too bad, all things considered. I've been on the steem blockchain for about 2 and a half years now, and most of that SP is earned.
