These past few days have been incredibly difficult for all Venezuelans—both those of us inside the country and those abroad. Since June 24, 2026, it has been a nightmare, a catastrophe—not only because of the destruction caused by the earthquakes but also due to the government's lack of support, its refusal to help the population, and its obstruction of the arrival and distribution of humanitarian aid. Undoubtedly, these earthquakes have brought out the worst in human nature—the most vile and base aspects—but they have also revealed the very best, expressed above all through solidarity.

It is to that sense of solidarity that I wish to appeal today. As some of you may already know, our fellow member @carisma77—who is very active in this community—lost her home and all her belongings; although she, her husband, and their pets fortunately survived the earthquakes, her apartment was left destroyed and uninhabitable. While such an event is a misfortune in any country, in Venezuela it is far more than that—it is something terrible, a tragedy from which it is very difficult to recover. For this reason, I ask the drink family to help our fellow member @carisma77 in any way possible.
And always remember to keep her in your prayers—and not just her, but the entire Venezuelan people.

Estos días han sido muy difíciles para todos los venezolanos, tanto para los que estamos dentro como para los que están fuera de Venezuela. Desde el 24 de junio 2026 esto ha sido un HORROR, una HECATOMBE, no sólo por la destrucción generada por los terremotos, sino por la falta de apoyo del gobierno, la negativa a ayudar a la población, y el que obstaculicen la llegada y distribución de la ayuda humanitaria. Y es que sin duda, estos terremotos han sacado lo peor, lo más asqueroso y bajo de la naturaleza humana, pero también han sacado lo más bonito, expresado fundamentalmente en solidaridad.

Y es a esta solidaridad a la cual hoy quiero apelar. Como ya algunos de ustedes sabrán, nuestra compañera @carisma77 quien es muy activa en esta comunidad, perdió su hogar y todas sus pertenencias, aunque afortunadamente ella, su esposo y sus mascotas salieron con vida de los terremotos, su apartamento quedó destruido e inhabitable. Si en otro país eso es una desgracia, en Venezuela, esto es más que una desgracia, es algo terrible, es una tragedia, algo de lo cual es muy difícil de recuperarse. Por tal motivo solicito a la familia drinks que ayuden a nuestra compañera @carisma77 en la medida de lo posible.
