After an omission in the community that opened its doors to me, I return to share with you tribes. I have the time to write, I need to capture the moments that I stored in the memory of my phone and the vacations will allow me to produce on the platform. I am on vacation because yesterday December 21, 2022 ended the school day and Amanda will also enjoy a well-deserved summer vacation in Argentina. In this country, there is a preventive procedure for kindergarten children leaving for primary school and I am going to tell you about it.
En noviembre los hospitales coordinan con los jardines, es importante hacer el llamado a los padres o familia del infante para que concurran en determinada fecha en el Área Programática con el niño a evaluar. El lugar cuenta con el equipo multidisciplinario de la infancia en examinar a los niños que egresan y tiene prosecución en otra etapa de la escolaridad. Realmente no estaba bien clara de la convocatoria y consulté a la directora, me explica que algunas escuelas de primaria lo exigen como requisito para formalizar la inscripción, pero que no era obligatorio; no obstante, mostré interés en vivir la experiencia sistemática de atención médica preventiva para niños.
Decidí llevar a mi hija y no me arrepiento, fue un proceso de 2 horas de observación profesional; nos recibe el primer médico de la salud, una foniatra, quien aplica una series de ejercicios vocales y con un aparato evalúa decibeles. Amanda pasó satisfactoriamente este control, no hay señal de infección o pérdida auditiva. Seguidamente, nos envían al segundo profesional de la salud, el odontólogo, revisa a la niña sin ningún instrumento, conducta que me generó dudas, pero igual aprobó mi hija. Seguidamente, envían a la niña hacerse una revisión oftalmológica, Amanda fue sometida al examen visual, mencionar las formas señaladas, otro atributo sensorial que pasa con éxito; el control del uso de la tablet funciona.

The place has a multidisciplinary team to examine the children who graduate and continue in another stage of schooling. I was not really clear about the call and I consulted the director, she explained that some elementary schools require it as a requirement to formalize enrollment, but it was not mandatory; Nevertheless, I was interested in the systematic experience of preventive medical care for children.
I decided to take my daughter and I don't regret it, it was a 2 hour process of professional observation; we are received by the first health doctor, a speech therapist, who applies a series of vocal exercises and with a device evaluates decibels. Amanda passed this control satisfactorily, there is no sign of infection or hearing loss. Next, we are sent to the second health professional, the dentist, who checks the child without any instruments, a behavior that raised doubts in my mind, but my daughter passed just the same. Next, the child was sent for an ophthalmologic examination, Amanda was submitted to the visual exam, mentioning the forms indicated, another sensory attribute that passed successfully; the control of the use of the tablet works.
Culminado el examen visual, pasan a Amanda al espacio psicopedagógico, las 2 seños especialistas me pidieron información acerca del desarrollo evolutivo, como por ejemplo, cuándo inició hablar o caminar. Luego se quedaron con la niña a solas, es el tiempo de aplicar una serie de ejercicios básicos psicométricos para evaluar comportamiento y aprendizaje. Desde a fuera escucho las felicitaciones a mi hija; además, por mi profesión sabía que los ítems eran de conocimientos básicos, alfabetización, números, memoria y atención; mi hija nuevamente victoriosa y la envían al pediatra.
El último paso, chequeo por parte de la pediatra, la responsable de examinar de manera profunda a Amanda, revisa el carnet de vacunas; luego en general revisa los pulmones, el corazón, los oídos y demás órganos para descartar algún problema. Amanda de peso y de talla acorde a su edad. La pediatra muy amable me dio recomendaciones para lavar su piel, entre otras sugerencias, pero está en condiciones saludables para cursar primaria o querer participar en alguna actividad física sin dificultades.
Once the visual examination was completed, Amanda was taken to the psycho-pedagogical area, where the two specialists asked me for information about her evolutionary development, such as when she started to talk or walk. Then they were left with the child alone, it was time to apply a series of basic psychometric exercises to evaluate behavior and learning. From the outside I hear the congratulations to my daughter; besides, because of my profession I knew that the items were basic knowledge, literacy, numbers, memory and attention; my daughter is victorious again and they send her to the pediatrician.
The last step is a check-up by the pediatrician, who is responsible for examining Amanda in depth, checking her vaccination record, and then generally checking her lungs, heart, ears and other organs to rule out any problems. Amanda's weight and size are in accordance with her age. The pediatrician very kindly gave me recommendations to wash her skin, among other suggestions, but she is in healthy conditions to attend elementary school without difficulties or want to participate in any physical activity.
La pediatra del equipo multidisciplinario fue quien otorgó la libreta sanitaria, le pregunte que no estaba conforme con la evaluación del odontólogo y me refirió a otro; sin embargo, las fechas del servicio público son complicadas, así que gestione con los médicos privados venezolanos. La odontóloga atendió a Amanda de manera didáctica, le revisó mientras exploraban el equipo (silla, fresa, lámpara, agua, etc.); la odontóloga otorga cita porque le halló una carie. El día del turno Amanda no tuvo temor y dejo a la profesional hacer su trabajo en un ambiente amistoso.
The pediatrician of the multidisciplinary team was the one who granted the health card, I asked her that I was not satisfied with the evaluation of the dentist and she referred me to another one, however, the dates of the public service are complicated, so I managed with the Venezuelan private doctors. The dentist attended Amanda in a didactic way, she checked her while they explored the equipment (chair, drill, lamp, water, etc.); the dentist gave us an appointment because she found a cavity. On the day of the appointment Amanda was not afraid and let the professional do her job in a friendly environment.
Dicho todo esto, este tipo de programa que el gobierno de la ciudad realiza es positivo para las familias. Permite detectar dificultades, insuficiencias o alteraciones en los niños; los especialistas son los responsables de informar y dar las orientaciones. Ese día muchos padres recibieron noticias inesperadas y fue duro conocer la realidad para la familia. En conclusión, no hay que esperar este tipo de programa para observar a nuestro hijo, debemos asistir a los controles pediátricos y conversar sobre interrogantes o dudas. Elige el médico que sientas afinidad y que tu hijo este a gusto. Está bien visitar otro especialista para cuidar de la salud del hijo, es un acto de demostración de amor. Having said all this, this type of program that the city government carries out is positive for families. It allows detecting difficulties, insufficiencies or alterations in children; specialists are responsible for informing and giving guidance. That day many parents received unexpected news and it was hard to know the reality for the family. In conclusion, we should not wait for this type of program to observe our child, we should attend the pediatric check-ups and talk about questions or doubts. Choose the doctor you feel affinity with and that your child is comfortable with. It is okay to visit another specialist to take care of your child's health, it is an act of showing love.
