El director Jeremiah Zagar, junto a la participación de Lebron James en el proyecto, dato que descubrió mi esposo en los créditos. Me pareció interesante en hacer la reseña porque el drama deportivo del baloncesto Garra (2022), logra enganchar al público deportista con la trama y con la participación de figuras del deporte. Un film sobre una historia común que se produce en Filadelfia, alusivo a escenas vistas en la película Rocky y a la vez, referente a grandes figuras que le dieron vida al equipo de la NBA 76ers de la ciudad Filadelfia, como: Allen Iverson, Charles Barkley y el famoso Dr. Julius Erving, junto al entrenador que lo hizo famoso Larry Brown, cabe destacar que esta información fue suministrada por mi esposo, quién durante la película se conectó, debido a que fue deportista profesional, por consiguiente, la construcción de la película tiene los méritos en incorporar a la trama ficticia personajes reales.

This phenomenon occurs in real life and cinema knows that it is a valuable content in representing the psychological capacity to inspire the public, in recognizing the importance of overcoming. Therefore, the audiovisual production, Hustle sought to harmonize the cinematographic elements (actors, plot, scenes, dialogues, music, among others) that transmit through drama the power of motivation.

I found interesting in making the review because the basketball sports drama Hustle (2022), manages to engage the sports audience with the plot and with the participation of sports figures. A film about a common story that takes place in Philadelphia, alluding to scenes seen in the movie Rocky and at the same time, referring to great figures that gave life to the NBA team 76ers of the city of Philadelphia, such as Allen Iverson, Charles Barkley and the famous Dr. Julius Erving, along with the coach of the team. Julius Erving, along with the coach who made him famous Larry Brown, just emphasize that this information was provided by my husband, who during the film was connected, because he was a professional athlete, therefore, the construction of the film has the merits in incorporating real characters to the fictional plot.
La historia versa sobre un reclutador (Adam Sandler) deportivo de la especialidad baloncesto que descubre a un joven español con potencial en el baloncesto en un suburbio y decide darle la oportunidad de jugar para la NBA; sin embargo, hay un pasado que el jugador debe sobrellevar para brillar. Supongo que muchos se anticipan sobre qué trata, pero más allá de la historia y el concepto de motivación, hay atracción por conocer el desenlace y el protagonismo de Adam Sandler, actor que me gusta porque para compartir películas románticas y drama, la comedia funciona en producciones donde participa. En efecto, la película tiene humor en los diálogos que relatan el argumento y al mismo tiempo, están cargados de referencias deportivas para explicar razones, un lenguaje específico y técnico; desde el principio la producción se evidencia la fluidez para posteriormente lograr mayor ritmo, así que no hubo desinterés. La música optimista hace presencia en los hechos pertinentes y la banda sonora te hace feliz, estimula el movimiento corporal, mientras se disfruta del film. Me gustan las locaciones, suburbio, canchas, hogar, Filadelfia y el contexto en general de escenas en la búsqueda de la pieza faltante en las áreas del juego que tiene el factor llamativo.
También consideré de la proyección Garra que expone el valor de la familia motivadora en la superación de ambos personajes principales, protagonizados por Adam Sandler y el joven deportista Juancho Hernangomez, quienes hacen buena química. Otro punto, son los obstáculos que ambos deben superar, es decir, limitaciones, conductas inapropiadas que configuran un pasado complicado; por otra parte, la película revela el proceso de captar talento, el reclutador debe ser observador de características esenciales en el deportista de baloncesto y por último, pinta el film lo viciado del proceso cuando la envidia y el poder humillan, pero serán razones para avanzar y dejar en claro la frase que se refuerza en el séptimo arte Garra, para tener éxito "Nunca te rindas".
The story is about a basketball sports recruiter (Adam Sandler) who discovers a young Spaniard with basketball potential in a suburb and decides to give him the opportunity to play for the NBA; however, there is a past that the player must overcome to shine. I guess many anticipate what it is about, but beyond the story and the concept of motivation, there is attraction to know the outcome and the role of Adam Sandler, an actor I like because to share romantic movies and drama, comedy works in productions where he participates. Indeed, the film has humor in the dialogues that relate the plot and at the same time, they are loaded with sports references to explain reasons, a specific and technical language; from the beginning the production evidences the fluency to later achieve greater rhythm, so there was no disinterest. The upbeat music makes presence in the relevant facts and the soundtrack makes you happy, stimulates body movement, while enjoying the film. I like the locations, suburbia, courts, home, Philadelphia and the overall context of scenes in the search for the missing piece in the areas of the game that has the eye-catching factor.
I also considered the screening of Hustle to expose the value of the motivating family in the overcoming of both main characters, starring Adam Sandler and the young athlete Juancho Hernangomez, who make good chemistry. Another point, are the obstacles that both must overcome, that is, limitations, inappropriate behaviors that make up a complicated past; on the other hand, the film reveals the process of capturing talent, the recruiter must be observant of essential characteristics in the basketball athlete and finally, the film paints the flawed process when envy and power humiliate, but will be reasons to move forward and make clear the phrase that is reinforced in the seventh art Hustle, to succeed "Never give up".
Puede ser que algunos cinéfilos piensen que es más de lo mismo, aun así, esto no le resta emoción a la drama; de igual forma, te hace recordar películas destacadas como Rocky, Un Sueño Imposible, entre otras, ganadoras de estatuillas; pero Garra tiene esencia de humor, invitados especiales, imágenes de movimientos de impacto. El Draft demuestra el criterio de medidas antropométricas para seleccionar el jugador; además de que el atleta debe contar con fundamentos de pasar el balón, bloquear, defensa, driblar, ser un jugar colectivo; resalto que conozco sobre esto, ya que mi sobrino, juega y he asistido a los partidos.
En definitiva, es un film que entretiene y plantea el factor motivacional para cumplir sueños, ambos protagonistas tienen el trabajo de vencer obstáculos personales para ganarle a las barreras externas. La película está representada por actores destacados como Adam Sandler (Stanley Sugerman), protagonista a un Scout, dedicado a la industria del baloncesto, cansado de viajar y deseoso de buscar talento deportista; un hombre familiar y simpático, que le teme a la edad para cumplir el sueño en la disciplina baloncesto y dar sentido a la vida, un profesional que su opinión es respetada, realmente adoré este rol. Luego está Juancho Hernangomez (Bo Cruz) el chico constructor, poco conversador y que se encuentra con la oportunidad de ser basquetbolista y no sabe cómo lidiar con el pasado; una interpretación sencilla, creíble de un hombre gigante y sensible que en la vida real es basquetbolista que le da fuerza a la trama. También en el grupo de actores, está la actriz Queen Latifah, la esposa de Scout, simpática, enérgica y emotiva que sirve de apoyo para Stanley Sugerman. Asimismo, se encuentra, Ben Foster (Vince Merrick), el heredero del equipo 76ers, abusa de su poder para denigrar del papel valioso que hace Stanley Sugerman, la forma arrogante en dar órdenes y rechazo a las opiniones de este profesional, te incomoda para darte cuenta de la buena actuación. Por último, todos los jugadores que asumieron papeles protagónicos fundamentales para el desarrollo del drama deportivo.
It may be that some moviegoers think it is more of the same, even so, this does not detract from the excitement of the drama; likewise, it reminds you of outstanding films such as Rocky, An Impossible Dream, among others, which are statuette winners; but Hustle has the essence of humor, special guests, imagen in impact movements. Then there is Juancho Hernangomez (Bo Cruz) the builder boy, not very talkative and who finds himself with the opportunity to be a basketball player and does not know how to deal with the past; a simple, believable interpretation of a giant and sensitive man who in real life is a basketball player to give strength to the plot. Also in the cast is actress Queen Latifah, Scout's wife, a sympathetic, energetic and emotional support for Stanley Sugerman. Likewise, Ben Foster (Vince Merrick), the heir to the 76ers team, abuses his power to denigrate the valuable role played by Stanley Sugerman, the arrogant way in giving orders and rejecting the opinions of this professional, makes you uncomfortable to realize the good acting. Finally, all the players who took leading roles fundamental to the development of the sports drama.
Why should I watch Hustle? The film draws the world of the sport of basketball to highlight that in any scenario motivation is one of the principles to succeed because sacrifices cost. The film has real characters that give life and seriousness to the plot and it is nice to see the stars in the context of the NBA. Another reason to watch are the pause shots and the narrator describing the plays with hits and misses, the scenes of the workouts and plays of the sports foundation are exciting. So, if you like sports and drama, you can't miss how Hustle ends and from my humble opinion, Adam Sandler has more projection in the movie world.
