Nurturing and taking care of a child is very difficult nowadays, the living expenses has already gone up so much, not to mention the things that we need to raise a kid. This results that some parents should both go to work to be able to give the best for the kids, or at least they are spending less time with the kids, because they need to get some money for living.
In my culture, sometimes busy parents will usually ask the grandmother to take care of the kids, or they will hire a babysitter, which is still affordable, yet they are a little harder to find nowadays.
And now the other thing that making things difficult is the introduction of phone, TV or any kind of digital entertainment for kids. how early it should be allowed, and for how long.
From what I can see around my neighborhood, what the kids consume on the screen can bring a huge affect into their lives, while there are a lot of good things around, but there are also a lot of bad stuff circulating in the social media, that might be picked up by the kids very early. I heard some of the kids curse a lot, or use slang language, which as far as I remember would get me into a big problem when I was a kid, but now things are different.
The other reason is that the early introduction to screen time could also hinder the speech ability of some of the kids. Now there are more kids that I know have to seek help from a professional to take care of the speech delay that they encounter, and some of the common things that I know is that those kids tend to have excessive use of screen time and early introduction to TV and phone.
So how early should we introduce phones, tv, and any digital entertainment to the kids?
