This is my entry for Day 2018 5 Minute Freewrite: Tuesday - Prompt: much warmer
Richie is the son of one of the wealthiest people in the country. His father is a successful businessman, while his mother is a politician and holds a very high place in the country.
They have a big house, with so many butlers and helpers that take care of Richie's needs. But although he seems to have everything, there is one thing that he always missed in his life. The time with his parents, since both his mother and his father are busy, they don't really have time to get together not even to have a small talk.
Most of the time Richie would not even see their parent for days. The house feels empty and his heart is so lonely and cold. Until one day he befriended the son of one of his helpers. Richie would then spend his free time after school in his helper's house. A much smaller house, so humble, and nothing fancy, but there are a sense of family that is much warmer than in his big house.
