After grooming in my private room, I headed out to meet Fragile and Dollman, who joined me for the journey. After connecting my BB pod and experiencing a quick flashback, I fabricated gear, hopped on my tri-cruiser, and drove up the mountain path to activate the Mexican gate terminal.
I returned to my private room to prepare for departure. Standing at the sink, I cleaned Sam up, trimmed his hair, and styled his beard with scissors. Once everything was set and I looked good to go, I headed back outside to return to the surface.
As I made my way out, Fragile met me to escort me toward the exit. She attached the BB pod across Sam's chest and handed him a Q-pid necklace. That was when Dollman stepped forward, requesting to join on the journey.
Fragile noted that his extensive experience might prove useful on the road ahead. Dollman preferred to be attached to the front of my gear rather than the back, and Sam agreed to his request.
Once the BB pod was fully attached to my body, I experienced a sudden flashback, similar to the visions I used to see in the first installment. It turned out Dollman saw the vision as well.
When he asked Sam what that was, Sam mentioned it was nothing new. Dollman then explained it was likely a bleed-through effect, noting that someone must have explained the concept to Sam in the past.
Leaving the private room behind, I stepped out into the open world. It was clear that this location was quite different from a typical distribution center or Bridges shelter.
I walked back to the access terminal to fabricate a few essential weapons and items, ensuring I would not be empty-handed out in the field.
Looking around the garage area, I was relieved to find my tri-cruiser waiting for me. Having a vehicle meant I would not have to trek all the way up the mountain on foot.
With my freshly fabricated supplies secured, I stepped outside, mounted the tri-cruiser, and began driving toward the Mexican grid plate terminal just as suggested.
Having Dollman along made the ride much more lively, as he turned out to be quite a talkative companion. As I drove up the winding path toward the top of the mountain, I kept an eye out for any potential BT territory.
I was not carrying heavy weaponry to deal with a major encounter, though I kept a few backups ready just in case an emergency arose.
As I pushed further up the steep incline, a song titled On the Beach by Caroline Polachek began playing in the background. The music made the surrounding landscape look incredibly surreal.
Appreciating the stunning view, I paused briefly to capture a photo for a thumbnail before continuing my ascent up the mountain.
The drive remained smooth, and before long, I arrived near the top of the steep slope. I spotted the target location just ahead, confirming that the Mexican plate gate terminal was finally within reach.
I pulled up directly to the gate terminal, brought the tri-cruiser to a stop, and dismounted. Walking up to the interface, I activated the Qpid terminal to establish the connection, hoping I would be able to bring my tri-cruiser along for the next part of the journey.
