After leaving the Magellan ship, I accepted orders to liberate the Western Environmental Observatory and deliver a rifle to the Lone Commander. I rode my Tri-Cruiser across a river and infiltrated brigand territory on foot. I was ultimately knocked out being surrounded and under heavy fire.
After relaxing inside the Magellan ship, I exited my private room, retrieved my Tri-Cruiser from the garage, and organized my cargo before heading outside into a new morning.
I rode toward the government base, which revealed itself from behind artificial rocks as I drew near. Accessing the terminal, I checked the available assignments.
A main order required me to liberate the Western Environmental Observatory from occupying brigands, while a new sub-order asked me to deliver a dismantled rifle to the Lone Commander.
Realizing the objectives lay in opposite directions, I decided to prioritize liberating the observatory first before traveling to the Lone Commander.
Charlie informed me that customized porter suits had been prepared for the operation, but I chose to keep my black combo suit equipped since it remained my favorite.
I hit the road and soon spotted a nearby MULE postbox. Finding no guards in the area, I hacked the lock, only to find the container completely empty.
Resuming my ride toward the Western Environmental Observatory, I noticed the Magellan ship soaring overhead, seemingly tracking my route. Along the trail, I gathered several pieces of lost cargo to deliver or recycle later.
Reaching the river line near the observatory, I evaluated the current. Though the water appeared calm, I backed up my Tri-Cruiser to build momentum for a jump across the gap.
I accelerated toward the bank and launched the vehicle over the water, but I landed squarely in the middle of the riverbed before driving safely onto the far shore.
As I approached the edge of brigand territory, I parked the Tri-Cruiser and unequipped my non-essential cargo to prevent losing valuable items in a battle. Carrying only my essential weapons, I advanced into the enemy perimeter on foot.
A brigand spotted me almost immediately and gave chase, he also alerted the entire compound to my presence. Enemy gunfire erupted across the area as I drew my bola gun, firing back to bind the lead attacker.
I expended my remaining bola ammunition to subdue additional targets while taking heavy incoming rounds.
Overwhelmed by superior numbers and continuous gunfire, I was eventually knocked unconscious by the remaining brigands. I knew its alright to die in a game, but I was hoping that the cargo I left behind won't be taken by them once I'm back.
