Today I would like to walk with you in Aarau. The city is located northeast of Bern, southeast of Basel and west of Zurich.
The tower was built in the 13th century and in the 16th century it was raised by three floors into a residential and watchtower.
An architectural combination of an old tower and a modern extension. The facade of the new building shows 134 life-size reliefs by sculptor Josef Felix Müller.
A special attraction are the more than 70 richly painted roof views that decorate the old town.
