ÂżPero cĂłmo me sentĂa esperando?

We should all sow seeds in the furrows left by wounds. In our lives, something always happens, that event that transforms us because of the pain it causes. We all have that wound, that emptiness, that broken dream that left a space in our soul. These wounds mark processes of change and a key point for sowing new seeds that may or may not sprout and grow into great victories. What was the loss, the obstacle, or the wound that marked the beginning of your process of change? I think for me it's realizing that life has different timings for each person. There are some who seem to have everything going well, who are making giant strides in their goals and projects. Others, however, may go more slowly, even when in practice their objectives are simpler and seem more achievable for most. Projects that at my age all my friends and acquaintances had completed, like owning a home, a family, or a steady job, were extremely complicated for me, and they arrived, but in their own time. I learned then that there are no bad rhythms in life, and that sometimes, while waiting for achievements, we learn and lay the foundations, sowing the seeds for future harvests. I didn't have a steady job; I was jumping from here to there in different positions, but that allowed me to learn a lot and develop many skills, which laid the foundation for my own company, one where only one counts.
But how did I feel about waiting? Waiting is difficult; patience is undoubtedly a virtue that must be acquired at an early age and worked to sustain throughout life. While I watched many of my acquaintances succeed, I have to admit that I didn't feel good about myself. Feelings of failure and sadness, even a bit of self-loathing, invaded me. I would press my head against the pillow just to be unable to sleep, being attacked by a voice in my subconscious that told me: You are not, and never will be, enough. It's normal for bad thoughts to surface in these kinds of situations, and we may even feel envious of others. But we have to take a step back and view these bad thoughts as weeds and pests in the harvest we sowed in our wound. If we don't eliminate them in time, our crop won't grow, or if it does, it won't be strong and healthy enough.
Up to now, we have that great wound turned into a furrow for the seed of our goal, our objective, and those pests we must guard against. But how do we water our harvest? We water it with goodwill, with daily work and determination, with giving our all and visualizing the goal. Every harvest, even victories, needs to be watered daily, in one way or another. The amount of water is a very personal choice.
Our harvest is ready, we must reap the rewards, and what are they? These are the plants that bore fruit, fruits that are victories, and they are harvested one at a time because some roots may be trapped in the stone, and some crops may have to be let go.
