It is an exhilarating way to live, and I have never ventured to go down this road. It is the road where you don't know where your next meal is coming from, but you have faith that it is coming. I also know that faith can only take you so far. So, I am caught up in the handyman hustle.
Do a job as good as you can, be excellent and gain referrals... or call backs for the next job.
Phone people, talk to people, mention what you do to everyone, hand out cards... put up ads... hustle!
Here is a photo of the floor that we finished today. We did a bang up job and they know it. They were so happy with the work that we did, and the deal that we gave them... that they will call us back. They want us to do their stairs when they have more money, and the want a garage built next year... which is a big one! If you can land a few big jobs, they pay the bills and then every little job that you can muster up is a bonus. It is a great chance to advertise what you are capable of.
Everyone that sees the floor that we finished (just before a baby shower that they are hosting) will want to know who did it... we might get 3 or 4 more floor jobs just through that baby shower... The hustle is real!!!
