In today’s battle I selected Marlai Singariel as my summoner because it is a magic focused archon. Its job is to increase the power of all your magic attackers by +1. So if you want to use magic attackers, it is better to choose a magic archon so that your magic damage also increases.
In today’s 58 mana battlw I did not get the victory but I got the chance to play with a very interesting rule set. It was a close and competitive match. In the end it became a one vs two situation but unfortunately because of some poor positioning I had to face defeat.
First, let’s understand the two rule sets of this battle and why they were important for me.
REVERSE SPEED
The first rule set was Reverse Speed. In Reverse Speed the units with lower speed attack first and they also have a higher chance of landing their attacks without missing.
Because of this, it is always important to choose monsters with low speed. Keeping this strategy in mind I tried to select monsters whose speed was as low as possible.
CLOSE RANGE
The second rule set was Close Range. This means that all ranged attack units gain the Close Range ability, allowing them to attack even from the first position.
In other words if you place a ranged monster as your tank it can still continue attacking the enemy. Keeping this rule set in mind I selected a strong ranged attacker and placed it in the tank position so it could continue dealing damage.
Based on these rule sets, I made a special strategic plan for this 58 mana battle. I selected six monsters and my opponent also selected six monsters.
Since the battle had the Close Range and Reverse Speed rule sets, I decided to focus mainly on magic power. My idea was that magic attacks would bypass the enemy’s armor and hit their health directly. I also chose a magic archon so that my magic damage would increase even further.
For this reason I selected four magic attacker monsters and positioned them carefully. Along with them I used two ranged attackers and one melee attacker, creating a mixed combination although my main focus remained on magic attackers.
At the start of the battle my units performed well and dealt good damage to the enemy team. However in the middle of the battle some of my monsters became weak and one by one they were eliminated.
In the final stage my backline monsters made a strong comeback and put up a great fight, but unfortunately I still ended up losing the battle.
Whenever rule sets like these appear in a battle, remember to select low speed monsters. As much as possible you should also choose ranged and melee attackers. If your positioning is correct you have a strong chance of winning the battle.
What do you people think about this kind of rule set? Do you think my strategy was good according to this rule set? Will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.
