Voynich Manuscript was first discovered by a trader book outside of Rome named Wilfrid m. Voynich in 1912, this ancient Book is currently owned by the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library of Yale University, and has attracted researchers during the a couple of decades. No one has been able to decipher the language used, although some of the characters resembles latin.
It was named after its discoverer, the dealer and collector of American antiques, Wilfrid m. Voynich, who discovered it in 1912, among a collection of ancient manuscripts housed in the villa Mondragone in Frascati, near Rome, which had been turned into a Jesuit College (closed in the year 1953).
