Close Range: Ranged attacks may be used in the first position in battles.
Odd Ones Out: Only Monsters with odd Mana costs may be used in battles.
This is a high mana ruleset game and only two color is available to play the Fire and Death Splinters, so there was not too much option to choose from. The ruleset was Close Range, so I tried to counter my opponent with my Summoner who give -1 ranged attack to all the enemy monsters.
Contessa L'ament is a good choice for this ruleset to counter the opponent ranged attack monsters. She is a Death summoner and such she has a lot of good monsters.
The Legionnaire Alvar is the best tank here, because the even mana creatures are banned in this ruleset and he is a Giant Killer, which will come handy if my opponent try to bring huge mana cost monsters. He also has the Demoralize ability, which will effectively reduce all the melee attack creatures attack damage by one.
The Djinn Muirat is an amazing odd mana card, because he also has the Magic Reflect and the Giant Killer ability as well. The Void Armor helps him to use his armor against magic attack monsters.
The Dhampir Stalker is a ranged attack monster and he has a huge 4 damage with an alright speed. He has the True Strike ability, so he will always hit his target.
Lira the Dark is also an excellent ranged attack monster, because she has 3 attack damage, high speed and the Swiftness ability, which will provide one speed to all of her friendly monsters. The Opportunity will target the weakest health monster from the enemy backline.
The Queen of Crows's abilities are very good here, because she will reduced the damage of the enemy ranged attack cards by one. With the help of Contessa this is already -2 ranged attack debuff.
I choosed Silent Sha-Vi, because he is a very fast melee attack sneaker. He has a lot of damage and he will try to finish of the last monster from the enemy team.

My strategy didn't work, because I brought a counter deck against this ruleset, but my opponent choosed the best and most expensive summoner for this battle, which is Yodin. Yodin gives +1 ranged damage, +1 health and the Blast ability to all of his monsters.
We managed to kill their tank, which was a pretty solid tank, but the main problem was that all of his monsters who attacked my creatures had the Blast ability, so even though I had a much better team he always damaged the monster behind my tank and slowly killed my off-tank as well.
Unfortunately this game prooved that even if I tried to counter my opponent team I can not be on the same level who has the money to bring whatever they want. A level 2 Yodin cost 300 DEC per day or 150 USD to buy, which is almost the cost of my entire collection. It is very difficult against teams liek that, but I will try to beat them next time. ๐
Yes, that is very good ruleset, because it helps me to use any card as a tank without any attack restriction or if the ruleset liek the Close Range buff's the ranged attack monsters I might counter them much easily than in a normal fight.
