In yesterday's post, I talked about my hometown and showed nighttime pictures of a modern business center called Chelyabinsk-Siti. Among other things, I mentioned that many residents of the city still criticizes this high-rise because it does not fit into the surrounding urban landscape. Why? I'll give you one example. Just look at these two pictures.
The first picture shows the glazed facade of the Chelyabinsk-Siti building (2007). The second picture shows the building of the General Post Office, built in 1936. The distance between these buildings is 70 meters (and 70 years). Until 2007, the entire historical part of the city looked really historical.
