It was the summer. What would I know. Reality was the darkest place I knew of. The one home I had, the one I was born in, definitely one of the darkest holes ever.
In the first two months after my arrival, I lived in the doghouse. My parents, especially my mother, thought that this would have been a good idea. In reality, it was the worst idea ever.
The summer was about to start. Days went by, and it was already the beginning of June. It was really hot and it was really bright. I was forced to stay there, day after day, with no break or nothing. Just sitting there, day after day.
Sitting there, not having fun. Not having anything to eat. Just sitting there. The doghouse, which was a small one, was not a comfortable place, but it was the only place in the place; I had known.
Many cats were born, and many died, while I was inside, and the dog, which was also me, had grown up. When the dog was already more than a year old, I was later forced to go away from the doghouse. I was forced to go outside, I didn't have any choice; I was not allowed to go outside without my parents' permission, and that was not about to come. Even I was not allowed to come out with my dad all alone, and unfortunately, I was not about to be allowed to do anything.
It was the 3rd day of June. It was like the Summer, but it was never supposed to be like the Summer, yet it was, I was not allowed to leave the doghouse. The Summer had begun, and it was hot. Summer was the worst season of all seasons, in my opinion. I was forced to stay inside, without anything to eat, without anything to drink, without anything to play.
My dog was older than my dog, and I already knew how to count, from time to time. That day was like all the other days. It seems that the Summer was not going to end, and more of the days passed. And the days that passed, it was like the best days.
The Summer was not going to end, and more of the days passed, and still the summer was not over. The Summer was the most painful and the most horrible worst season. It was even painful for me. I could not do anything, unless if I was forced to leave the place where I lived, which was the doghouse.
I was forced to leave the doghouse and go outside. I was allowed to come out alone, with my dad all alone, as it would be the end of the hottest summer ever.
It was the 15th day of June, when I finally passed the doghouse and I realized that I was wrong. The doghouse had many exits, like many holes. I wasn't allowed to go to the one exit that I thought was the one that would lead me outside. That exit was locked up. I could not go there any other way. Luckily, I still had my freedom.
I didn't know what I could do. I went to a comfy place. It is one of my favorite places. It was like a house, right above the doghouse. It was like a cave, but it wasn't a cave. It was like a little house just over the top of the doghouse.
It was a small little house, and it had no stairs. It had no windows, and it had no doors. The only thing that was in that room was a sofa and a table. I didn't know why it was there, yet it was a comfy place, and it was beautiful, there was nothing that deserved to be referred to as ugly about it. It was pure. This was the best place in the world, which I was not allowed to enter.
I went to this place, and I was more happy than ever before, even in my whole life so far.
