Este año decidió golpearnos con todas sus fuerzas jaja, creo que necesito alguna especie de ritual espiritual para sacarme la mala suerte de encima, mi familia y yo no hemos parado de enfermarnos en lo que va del año y ha sido realmente sofocante, cuando nos mejoramos pasa algo más. El domingo por la mañana prometía ser un día tranquilo hasta que me levanté muy temprano y fui a ver a mi hijo en su habitación, me conseguí con el rostro de mi bebe todo hinchado del lado izquierdo. Me asusté muchísimo, pero recordé que el está actualmente en un tratamiento de muelas porque hace tiempo tuvo una infección grave en algunas de las muelas, lamentablemente una de ellas que había sido reparada se le salió y comenzó a infectarse. Estas cosas nunca han parado a pesar de que somos extremadamente obsesivos con la limpieza de los dientes.

Sunday morning promised to be a quiet day until I woke up very early and went to check on my son in his room. I found his face all swollen on the left side. I was terrified, but then I remembered that he's currently undergoing dental treatment because he had a serious infection in some of his teeth a while ago. Unfortunately, one of them, which had been repaired, came loose and started to get infected. These things never seem to stop, even though we're extremely obsessive about cleaning our teeth.
La doctora comenta que todos estos problemas de caries, infecciones y demás vienen porque mi hijo no puede mantener la boca cerrada por que tiene problemas en la encía y mandíbula. De hecho, le pusimos unos aparatos que ayudarían con eso pero ya paso el tiempo que recomendó la doctora que los usara, teníamos cita para este mes pero con esta inflamación tan fuerte, es imposible llevarlo aun. La doctora recomendó darle nuevamente el mismo tratamiento anterior con antibióticos para tratar la infección.
The doctor explained that all these problems with cavities, infections, and other issues stem from my son's inability to keep his mouth closed due to gum and jaw problems. We had braces put on him to help, but the recommended treatment period has passed. We had an appointment scheduled for this month, but with this severe inflammation, it's impossible to bring him in yet. The doctor recommended resuming the same antibiotic treatment to address the infection.
La cosa es que este tratamiento dura 10 días y la amoxicilina tiene un costo bastante elevado, por experiencias anteriores puedo afirmar que este tratamiento necesita mínimo 3 frascos. Solo pudimos comprar dos en ese momento y en dólares fueron aproximadamente $32 en ese día que compramos. Solo dos frascos y costo esa cantidad de dinero, me parece absurdo, lo único que puedo decir es que al menos funciona muy bien ya que mi hijo esta mejorando rápidamente.
The thing is, this treatment lasts 10 days, and amoxicillin is quite expensive. From past experience, I can say that this treatment requires at least three bottles. Hoy amaneció un poco menos inflamado y se ve mucho mejor, por suerte de animo siempre ha estado bien… De hecho, se la ha pasado jugando muchísimo con nosotros y eso me anima bastante, cuando porfin se desinflame por completo la doctora podrá examinar esa muela.
