The heavens that I look.
This is an inspiring and reflective writing based on the sacred scriptures of the Bible about the heavens and their meaning for humanity.
The highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth he has given to mankind. Psalm 115:1
The sky: The immense empty space above us that makes us so small, so tiny; what we see daily without realizing its infinity and without appreciating all its beauty or surprise us for its splendor.
We see it but we do not watch it.
Psalm 19:1(NIV)
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
The heavens are the expression of who God is, because of its beauty, depth, its mysteries, its immensity and its majesty.
With light or dark clouds it is covering us every day, on good or bad days, it is always above us.
The heavens are the perfect expression of who God is for me, so real that I can see it and so unfathomable (you can not measure it) that nobody knows its end. Even if a blind man can not see him, he knows it is there; a space without limits on you, an opportunity to go higher and higher without ceilings that stop you.
Just thinking that we are a tiny point in an infinite universe, that we have consciousness, personality, interests, tastes and free will moves me greatly, makes me think more seriously about the short time we have and how we invest it.
From the heavens we receive the rain that brings life, growth, provision, joy, but from the heavens themselves we receive storms and impetuous waters. The same as life, there are different seasons and it is inevitable to pass through them, sometimes the sun shines in our sky in the calm of a cloudless morning, sometimes there is darkness and strong breeze that snatches anything from our hands.
For a while we have our loved ones with us but there always comes a time when someone has to leave, they are seasons that we inevitably have to go through.
Although the clouds do not let you see for a moment, it is still there, deep, infinite, majestic, where the sun is still shining, although we are not seeing it, where the stars keep twinkling in the infinite distance even though our gaze does not reach them. It is still the same heavens, what happens under the clouds does not change it. God, he is still God and what happens under the clouds does not change him.
He will continue to spread like a mantle over us, he will continue to shine above everything, He is God and He is heaven.
Psalm 108:4 For great is your love, higher than the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
