First draw I've gotten in Dune City Legacy. 128x128 map: unable to take down the CPU opponent's base

Winning against the CPU is really tough. It looked like victory was in sight—I was about to take down their base—but the AI defends attacks super well every single time. And it keeps counterattacking mine too. The game requires serious commitment to win. What's your opinion? Think you could pull off a win in this game?
