Hey, Tasteemers, welcome back to my page! Do you love instant noodle as crazy as I am? Haha. Yeah, I know, it is not healthy to consume daily. But..., you know, it difficult for me to ignore! Lol.
And...? Today, I failed to ignore this instant noodle again! Argh!
A friend of mine, invited me to meet for a discussion for a project. So that, I suggested to meet at another Warunk Upnormal - Cihampelas, which is recommended by my daughter. She said that there is another Warunk Upnormal (Warunk means cafe) in Cihampelas Street. It is cozy, comfortable and of course affordable price, even cheap!
Ops, for your information, this is my second time to review the Upnormal Cafe. The first one is the Upnormal located on Burangrang street, you can read the review here, and this one is located on Cihampelas Street, Bandung, West Java.
This one is located on the strategic location in Cihampelas, the tourism area for souvenir shop and also a famous mal near to it.
Since it was rain, I am not able to capture the outside look of the cafe. So just have a look for the inside, ok?
Since I do enjoy hanging out here, in the Warunk Upnormal, I tried to dig some information related to the history of this famous coffee shop.
It was initiated by Citarasa Prima Group (CRG Group) in 2014 located on PHH. Mustofa No. 73 Street, Bandung, and then develop to another area in Bandung, West Java and spread out to Jakarta, Bekasi and some other place in Indonesia.
This coffee shop become famous because of its unique concept with the tagline "The Trendy Indomie".
Yes, Indonesian is well known by its traditional coffee shop, which is exist in the villages and town. The coffee shop only offers the coffee, cheap rice/indomie (one of the popular brand of noodle instant) and some traditional cakes.
Starting from this tradition, the owner has an idea to adopt the traditional things but upgraded to be more trendy one. That is why, they create the indomie into new recipes, so they serve us with a new trendy and tasty indomie! Delicious!
As there were three of us, we ordered rice, indomie (instant noodle) and of course the drinks. Since we were not very well, so we just ordered the mineral water for drinks.
But, this cafe, of course has special offers for the drinks, such as shown in the picture below. This picture taken from their website.
