Drawing is one of my daughter's favorite activities. Some of you may know it from our mutual Hive activity we named 
We met her cousin family last week and her cousin around her age had a pencil roll case. It might be practical especially for traveling. So I made one for her with fabrics in my leftover box. A bit winding on top as I didn't make it really three dimensional. Ja but it's OK.
The denim was for my jeans and the inner printed one is for my dress I sewed 5-6 years ago. Both are from my favorite organic fabric store Siebenblau in Berlin. I remember the good old Berlin time. I could visit the shop anytime just by 10 minutes tram ride ...
I attached a wooden button with a lady bug and rubber band so that my daughter can close it easily.
I wish my daughter enjoys traveling with it. I felt a bit down and quite tired over the weekend from all the hustle of preparation to fly to Japan but now I could recover some extent by focusing on sewing. Thank you to my grandma that she taught me sewing, as always.

子どもは絵を描くのが大好きで、日々描き描き、昨日は床にも描いてとうちゃんに怒られていました。そういえばガラスの扉に豪快に描いていたこともあったな😅最近はこんなのも・・・こわい・・・歯だそうです w
家では私が台所で使っていた大きなタッパーにペンや鉛筆全部ごっちゃり入れています。
先週、子どものいとこの家族に会って、同じくらいの年のいとこが、鉛筆のロールケースを持っていました。日本では筆箱が多いですが、こちらではこのタイプを小さな子どもが持っているのをよく見かけます。特に旅行に便利そう。数時間電車に乗る時も絵を描きたがります。
週末に日本に一時帰国する準備をしていてぐったりして、なんとなく仕事をしたりアクティブにプロジェクトを進めたりする気分になれず、端切れの箱から適当な大きさの生地を見つけて色鉛筆のロールケースを作ってみました。もりもり縫っているうちにずいぶん気分がすっきりしました。
デニムはジーンズの残りで、内側のプリント地は5〜6年前に縫ったワンピースに使ったものです。どちらもベルリンにあるオーガニックの生地屋さんSiebenblauで購入しました。ベルリン時代楽しかったなあ、トラムに乗って10分もあれば、いつでもお店に行けたのが懐かしいです。
子どもが簡単に閉じられるように、てんとう虫の木のボタンとゴムバンドを付けました。
