I don't know why but I really felt like sewing today. Then I started those on my list.
First, I made my daughter's jeans to a short pant. It had a big hole on the knee and anyways it will be too short for her next autumn/winter. To make long pants with holes to short pants is a kind of seasonal TODO for me 😉
Then I started making a dress which was formally mine. I cut it in pieces ....... five months ago and being lazy over the winter 😅
Making a master pattern and my daughter's clothes out of my favorite dress
Since the cuffs and elbows were worn out, I decided to make a pattern out of the dress and reuse the fabric in good condition for my daughter's dress.
I have to adjust the length of the sleeves and sew around the neck. I'm happy to see it's almost done. It's my favorite style 😊
It's not on Monday but I'm really happy to be back to Needlework Monday after a while.

なぜだかわかりませんが今日は久しぶりにとても洋裁をしたくなって、朝早くからいそいそと縫いたいと思っていたものを縫い始めました。
まずは子供のジーンズを半ズボンにしました。どのみち来年の秋冬には丈が短くなってしまうので、穴あきズボンの半ズボン化はこの時期の恒例行事です 😉 これはもう手慣れたもんでさくっと完了。
次に取りかかったのはワンピースです。これ、昔はもうほんとそっくりな私の無印のボーダーワンピだったんですよね。Hiveの投稿を見直したらどうやら5ヶ月前に裁断したようで、冬中放置していました......あるあるです。
袖口と肘が擦り切れてさすがに私が着続けるのはどうかなという状態だったので、型紙をとって、状態のいい部分を子供のワンピースにすることにしました。
子供が帰ってきたら袖を好みの長さにして、首回りを縫えば完成です。赤ちゃん時代にこんな感じのボーダーを着ていたのを覚えていて、着てうろちょろしているのを眺めるのが楽しみです。
月曜日ではないですが、久しぶりに針仕事の月曜日に戻ってこられてうれしいです。
