Hola, queridos lectores.
Ya casi a un día de culminar la semana y, aunque sé que se pasó rápido, hubo un día en especial que fue bastante largo para lo que pasan siempre de rápido; fue el día miércoles. Sin embargo, hoy jueves me dio tiempo de salir a comprar, hacerles comida a mis tres perritos; estoy incluyendo a Doggy. Quisiera que fuera mío, pero al menos lo alimento y doy cariño cada día. Les hice riñonada por primera vez: patas de pollo, calabacín y zanahoria, también un poquito de pollo en caldo.
Hello, dear readers. The week is almost over, and although I know it flew by, one day in particular felt quite long compared to how quickly the others usually pass: Wednesday. However, today—Thursday—I had time to go shopping and prepare a meal for my three dogs; I’m including a "Doggy" in that count. I wish he were mine, but at least I feed him and give him affection every day. I made them a kidney-based stew for the first time, using chicken feet, zucchini, and carrots, along with a little chicken in broth.
Menos mal nos llevamos el carrito; de verdad que es una comodidad para no cargar peso en las manos; es superpráctico. Aproveché para tomar unas fotos para el blog; no hacía tanto calor y ya es ganancia, la verdad. Compramos todo muy, muy rápido. Solo me faltó el ajo para aliñar la comida
It’s a good thing we brought the cart; it’s really convenient not having to carry heavy things in our hands—it’s super practical. I took the opportunity to snap some photos for the blog; it wasn't too hot, which was a real plus. We got everything done really quickly. The only thing I missed was the garlic for seasoning the food.
Luego ordené todo en la cocina para poder hacer el almuerzo de mi esposo y el mío. Llegué del centro con mucho dolor de cabeza; quizás me va a dar gripe. Todos los días llueve y siempre me mojo, así sea un poquito. Hicimos yuca con plátano, pollo y un poco de ensalada rallada con zanahoria. Me encanta tener zanahoria, sobre todo para hacer la comida de las perritas. Mientras hacía el almuerzo, también lavaba la ropa, no mucho porque imaginé que iba a llover y nada, menos mal porque se pudo secar la poca que lavé. También siempre pienso en qué puede ocurrir cuando llueve, así que ya prefiero que salga el sol.
Afterward, I tidied up the kitchen so I could make lunch for my husband and myself. I had come back from downtown with a bad headache; I might be coming down with the flu. It rains every day, and I always get wet—even if just a little bit. We made cassava with plantains, chicken, and a bit of shredded carrot salad. I love having carrots on hand, especially for making food for the dogs. While I was making lunch, I was also doing laundry—not a huge load, since I thought it was going to rain, but it didn't; thank goodness, because the few things I did wash were able to dry. I also always worry about what might happen when it rains, so I’d much rather the sun come out.
Luego me senté a almorzar, hice unas cosas en la computadora y me acosté un rato; sin embargo, ya era hora de sacar a Perla y llevar la comida a Doggy. Fui de una vez a visitar a mi mamá y hablar con ella; mientras ella llegaba los pipotes, yo iba escribiendo esta publicación. Y esperar que llegara mi padre.
Afterward, I sat down for lunch, took care of a few things on the computer, and lay down for a while; however, it was already time to take Perla out and bring food to Doggy. I went straight to visit my mom and talk to her; while she was filling up the water barrels, I wrote this post. Then, I waited for my father to arrive.
Ohh, se me pasaba decirles que me comí unas empanadas muy buenas, así que les tomé una foto; estaban riquísimas. ¿Cuál será el secreto de esas empanadas? Desayunamos afuera para poder llegar haciendo todo de una vez y ya alimentados.
Gracias a Dios, se pudo hacer todo, ¿y a ustedes cómo les va en su semana?
Oh, I almost forgot to mention that I had some really good empanadas—I even took a picture of them; they were delicious. I wonder what the secret to those empanadas is? We had breakfast out so we could get everything done in one go, having already eaten.

Hoy JUEVES pido a Dios por todos ustedes, que siempre me les cubra con el bien. Que siempre tengan un plato de comida en su mesa, que no pierdan la fe, que la vida siempre les dé motivos para levantarse cada mañana con ánimos; quizás no todos los días sean así, pero siempre habrá un motivo para levantarse y seguir .
Reflection
Today, Thursday, I pray to God for all of you, that He may always surround you with goodness. May you always have food on your table, may you never lose your faith, and may life always give you reasons to rise each morning with a hopeful spirit; perhaps not every day will be like that, but there will always be a reason to get up and keep going.
