Hello friends,

On this week's theme about pets hosted by our friend friendlymoose@friendlymoose.
I wish to introduce you to our pet Rooster, Goliath.
We have many pets in the house, four-legged and two-legged... haha.
There is something special about Goliath. We purchased our chickens, locally they are called Sasso breeds when they were still chicks. We took care of them until they are full grown and lay eggs. We wanted to have our own fresh organic eggs that's why we bought them.
As they were growing we have this one exceptional male chicken. He is really the biggest on all the other three roosters. He feels so superior, he guards his hens (8 hens) very well that even us, his humans cannot go near them unless they are inside their cages.
He attacks anyone who will go at our back yard. Even my husband he pecks him, he will literally attack you like a dog and will fly on you and will bite/peck you even if you have a stick with you he never backs down he even becomes more aggressive if he sees you holding something.
Many times, we will hear my hubby's aunts, my mother-in-law, my nieces and nephews, my son shout whenever they are at the back hanging some clothes for out of nowhere he will come running and will attack you. You will really be afraid because he is one big rooster. His legs are big and powerful.

We will all run so afraid of him, to think that he doesn't even have teeth... haha. but his peck is so powerful. That's why I named him Goliath.

You can see here on the photos, I am not really smiling I was muttering for my hubby to take a photo right away for I know any minute he will attack me. I was so afraid really... I needed to have a photo with him because during this times, I was teaching online and my students from China already knew him from my stories and they wanted to see him so even if I was so afraid I took my chance but mind you after this photo shoot, the first one that I am holding him, he pecked me hard on my forehead.
Hubby had a photo of that incident when he was pecking me but can't seem to find the photo anymore.
You will see my so afraid look!, him flapping his wings while I was trying very hard to hold his big, heavy body staying away from his pointy claws but he still got me, pecked me on the forehead! really scarred me for life! haha

These photos were taken 2018, last year Goliath died maybe because he was old and fat. During his death all of us, his victims where all laughing about how can a rooster be so aggressive, like a dog growling. We had several roosters over the years but not like him. He was truly one unique rooster who thinks he was a guard dog because all our visitors have been his victims as well.... haha.

I guess, he is chasing and pecking everyone in heaven now!....haha.

Thanks for dropping by and reading my funny post.

lots of love,
