Kind of comes down to which vision do we choose to be a slave to?
I think it's the illusion of choice that I cling to. Anyone who knows me would tell you that if a crowd is heading in one direction, I will surely be going the other way. These ideas about why we are here, how we live, what we 'choose' to do with our lives...very hard to understand. We can read philosophers of different schools and it all comes back to the same thing. We wander around and do our best in a game that's basically fixed. We all end up the same and the path there is never clear, even when we think it is. So my character is in an impossible situation. That's life :))
