What a wonderful coincidence that I mentioned Unamuno to you. One of his most famous books (more like a novella) was La Niebla. In that book the protagonist, Augusto Perez rebels against the author who has created him. It is quite a philosophical work, and at the same time entertaining.

You pull off the scene of the rebellious character quite well. Quite entertaining. I was relieved to see Sraf go up in smoke :)
