You make me think of my mother-in-law. My husbands parents came over from Ireland in the 30s. There is no question--that woman ran the house. There was definite division of labor in that family: she was

Not my sense of smell. I am very sensitive, extraordinarily sensitive to people in distress but I don't think my sense of smell is particularly strong. I think he must have been pretty ill. I didn't know

I never came here for the money. My son told me years ago (8!) that it was better than Twitter because it was decentralized and it had free speech. He added that I might earn coin. That's it. It was always

Many years ago I worked with a man who noticed had a distinctive, almost fruity smell. I didn't work with him often, but always he had that smell. He died quite suddenly from diabetes. I realized then

I've never used a travel agent. I am so unsophisticated, and also a bit controlling. If I ever think I can put up with the sardine seats on airplanes and the delays at airports I might try that. It is

Thank you @anggreklestari and @curangel. It's very encouraging when @curangel shows support for a post🌸

Please compare :) I wrote this to reinforce your commitment to stay in touch. It is so important. I think I might have forgiven all the bad stuff if in the end he had wanted to be a father, and had sought

I never, not one single day, forgot about her Brilliant. The worst thing for a child is the sense of abandonment. It wasn't just that my father was violent, mean--actually terrifying. It was that he didn't

This is an interesting post for me to read. I guess you can say I was Lily once. The difference is that my father was the cliché. It is hard for you to have to live against type, but as you say, the type

My husband is not too fond of the style either, and he said he's not interested in the movie. I love it. Fascinating that as time went by his paintings became more colorful, more dynamic. I think it's
