I was walking fast in getting inside the school when a student intentionally blocked my way. I waived a hand as if saying "You're blocking my way." I was forced too to look at the face of the student. He was beaming at me and smiling from ear to ear. He said "Hi sir" with a wide grin, the sun would be ashamed of its brightness. I merely nodded and said "Hello", still preoccupied with urgent things which I need to do. It was only when I have complied the task that the thought sank in my mind. He was one of my advisory students and one of those whom I would often scold for absences, tardiness, and failure in passing school projects. I paused for I realized something as a teacher. That those students (problematic ones usually) whom you did not expect to remember you are the ones who will do & those (achievers) whom you expect to say 'Hi" as you meet them in the campus are the ones who won't. Lesson: Love all your students both the problematics and the achievers for you will never know.
