Kobieta szybko orientuje się, że przestała przeżywać rozstanie z mężem i ponownie czuje że żyje. Będąc na urlopie kontaktuje się z przyjacielem policjantem chcąc wyciągnąć od niego informacje jak postępuje śledztwo, które prowadzi. Kobieta ma bowiem doświadczenie w odnajdywaniu zwłok i wciskania nosa w nie swoje sprawy. Komisarz chcąc odwrócić uwagę Magdy od swojej pracy proponuje jej, by ta znalazła swojego trupa. Skąd miał wiedzieć, że wywoła wilka z lasu? W ten oto sposób, Magdalena zamiast odpoczywać, postanawia rozwiązać zagadkę śmierci jednej z uczestniczek wycieczki. Jest to dla niej sprawa priorytetowa, gdyż zaprzyjaźniła się z ofiarą, a ponadto sprawa została uznana za wypadek, a ona jest przekonana, że to było morderstwo. Tylko jak zdobyć na to dowody?
Do tej pory moje przygody z komediami kryminalnymi nie należały do udanych. Do momentu, aż dzięki uprzejmości wydawnictwa, w moich rękach znalazła się "Śmierć na Zanzibarze". Raz, że w końcu trafiłam na dobrą książkę z tego gatunku, a dwa, było to moje pierwsze spotkanie z piórem autorki. Już od pierwszych stron wiedziałam, że w końcu trafiłam w 10. Od samego początku poczułam, że książka będzie przepełniona humorem, a główna bohaterka z miejsca wywołała we mnie pozytywne uczucia. Jej relacja z matką nie należy do najlepszych, a mimo to wspólnie wyjeżdżają na urlop. To musiało być ciekawe.
Akcja nie pędzi na łeb na szyję, wszystko dzieje się w idealnym tempie, a czytelnik wraz z Magdą próbuje zgadnąć kto dokonał morderstwa i jaki miał motyw. Tak naprawdę momentami, kobieta kroczy po omacku i często blefuje, co nie zawsze wychodzi jej na dobre. Tak czy inaczej nie można zarzucić jej braku zapału. W rezultacie wyszło na to, że moje przeczucia okazały się słuszne, z tym że nie znałam powodu dla którego wytypowana przeze mnie osoba miałaby dokonać zbrodni. Trzeba było cierpliwie czekać na rozwój wydarzeń.
Podsumowując, serdecznie polecam książkę Pani Katarzyny i osobiście bardzo chętnie nadrobię jej twórczość.

The commissioner, wanting to distract Magda from her work, suggests that she find her corpse. How was he supposed to know he was going to stir the shit? So now, Magda, instead of resting, decides to solve the mystery of the death of one of the people she met on her trip. This is a priority for her as she befriended the victim and they announced it was an accident and she is convinced it was a murder. But how do you get the bloody evidence?
So far, my adventures with criminal comedies have not been successful. Until, courtesy of the publisher, "Śmierć na Zanzibar" was in my hands. Finally, I found a good book from this genre even though it was my first encounter with the author's work. I knew from the very first page that I had finally hit a bullseye. From the very beginning, I felt that the book would be full of humor, and the main character immediately evoked positive feelings in me. Her relationship with her mother is not the best, yet they go on vacation together. It must have been interesting.
The action is not rushed does not rush, everything happens at a perfect pace, and the reader and Magda try to guess who committed the murder and what was the motive. In fact, at times, a woman gropes in the dark and bluffs a lot, which is not always good for her. She is definitely not lacking enthusiasm! As a result, it turned out that my premonitions turned out to be correct, but I did not know the reason why the person I selected would commit the crime. One had to wait patiently for the development of events to develop.
Summing up, I heartily recommend Ms. Katarzyna's book!
