Welcome to the weekly edition of my "Daily Grind" series of blogs. It has been a while since I changed my Food Chain Nature deck by renting cards from Lootrush. When I started renting at Lootrush I found some success with the deck that I created. But then a few days ago I started to notice that users are again adapting to the current meta, my once successful deck now has a hard time winning 50% of my games in Auric Gold in addition to that I noticed that decks this week are a little bit faster as evident in my matches were they got to beat before I get to play my food chain combo.

That said, I decided to make some little changes to my current food chain deck and tested it immediately on ranked mode. By the way, I started this daily play and earn using my old deck and then I proceeded to make some changes and tested it immediately in ranked mode, and in turn, I was able to salvage a 5-5 record for today.

This featured match is against the Zoo Light deck. I am always confident heading to a match against Asterius.

Against Zoo Light I am always looking for my combo cards if I can get at least two, the better.

I passed on the first turn. My opponent played Vanguard Axewoman and Carshark which summoned a Bodyguard.

I played Canopy Barrage and killed Cardshark. My opponent played Felid Janissary who buffed Bodyguard and went face with Vanguard Axewoman. My opponent played Ritual Rod.

I played Iron-tooth Goblin to destroy my opponent's relic. My opponent played his god power and summoned a 2/2 Acolyte and went face. My opponent played Gleamweaver.

I killed Felid Janissary with Iron-tooth Goblin. I used my god power. My opponent played Protective Benediction and went face with his four creatures which reduced my God HP to 12.

I played my Food Chain combo. I attacked Bodyguard to remove it "protected". My opponent chose to go face with his four creatures which further reduced my god HP to 4. My opponent played Balthazar, Blood Magus. My opponent uses his god power to summon a 2/2 acolyte.

I was able to kill the five creatures of my opponent but one, which is a 2/2 Vanguard Axewoman with protected and 1 armor. My opponent went face making my god HP to 2. My opponent played Ogre Archer and killed one of my creatures.

I attacked Ogre Archer with Lootable Corpse and I was able to kill all the creatures of my opponent while I got three more creatures left. I played The Trial Begins. I used my god power to summon a 1/2 badger. My opponent played Thaeric Militant, Emperian Pacifist, and Dryder Sailwater.

I killed Dryder Sailwater with Green Giant which also kills Thaeric Militant because of its "Overkill", I was able to kill all the creatures of my opponent. I got Rune of Life from the Sanctum and healed my god for 3. I played The Trial Begins and got Underbrush Boar. At the end of the turn, I was able to reduce the hp of my opponent's god to 11. My opponent played an Aging Veteran but decided to concede, and it is GG.
