Art expresses the inner or unsaid emotions and feeling no one is hearing. It speaks even when the creator is not saying anything or physically demonstrating what was behind the art.
For whoever who loves the work of art either murals or paintings, it is a different feelings running through them whenever they set their eyes on one.

A brief explanation on the difference between the both if you're lame man and strange to what difference is between murals and paintings. They are both paintings of arts but with a slight difference.
Paintings are the normal work of arts done as either landscape or portraits, of different sizes and are movable from one place to another while murals are paintings done in public spaces that can't be moved. For instance, paintings made on school walls, churches, bar or game house or pedestrian bridges if you're familiar with Lagos bridges.
Murals are paintings but not all paintings are murals.

Now moving over to freedom of paintings even if it is offensive. I don't think this should be pardoned or allowed in anyway because just like the brief explanation I made in the first paragraph, arts has to do with people's emotions and reasoning to be able to interpret what is encoded in the piece they are seeing so whatever they are seeing automatically contribute to their mode of reasoning and how they see life at that particular time.

Take for instance, a movie I saw sometime ago which had to with an artist painting landscapes which replicates blood and painful facial expression and every of his piece are always like that. They are so scary that it's so difficult for a neutral person with a good mind to purchase such artwork except for odd minds people who are either villain in the movie or just wicked personality.

Now imagine a teenager seeing a mural painting of nudity or violence, what does it teach them or register in their heads? What part of lifestyle are they been groomed for seeing this kind of painting? Do parents feel okay and not irritated by these kind of paintings? Definitely yes because aside parental guidance, personal upbringing of these teenagers goes a long way most especially when it has to do with societal factors.

Just like an OAP friend would say, that there is freedom of speech but there may not be freedom after speech which simply means that there should be a law guiding what is been put in the public space and a group or body that ensures that these rules are followed and offenders are persecuted.

When it's a physical damage, it is easy to rectify but when it m has to do with mental health, damages made are critical and so sensitive to deal with so there must be caution to what and what is been displayed freely out there unless they are harmless piece of paintings.

There should be no exceptions in professions when it comes to what is been displayed publicly for people to see because what we see or watch stays in our heads and reasoning more than what we hear so it should never be protected under free speech if they cause havoc to people mentally.
