A picnic can be defined as an outing for joy. In this busy routine of life, man has no time to spend in the company of nature. People work the whole day. They take no interest in the forms of beauty. In this sorry state of affairs, an outing is necessary to make life enjoyable. After such an activity, we find a new zeal in everything we do. So such activities are inevitable to promote our efficiency for work.
My friends and I decided to spend a Sunday on the bank of Indus River. The idea of enjoying ripe mangoes on the bank of a river attracted us so much that we finalized the program in no time. All of us were eager and excited. On the following Sunday we started on our bikes towards the destination. The sky was overcast. The cool breeze was fanning our faces. We felt very happy and excited. It was simply a peasant ride.
When we reached the destination, we placed our things under a cool shady tree. We put on the life-jackets and jump into the river. We felt very happy in the cool water of the river. Soon, it began to drizzle which added to our joy. It was a wonderful feeling of pleasure and joy. We spend some time in water. Then we felt hungry and came out of the water. The ripe and sweet mangoes became our appetite. We enjoyed them to our fill.
After taking some rest we again jumped into the water. We started the competition of swimming, diving and rowing. We enjoyed ourselves much. After some time we decided to have lunch. We ate the roasted chicken and salad. After having lunch, we play cards for some time. We turned on the music player and sang songs. After sometime we felt tired and lay down on a mat to take a rest. Soon, we were fast asleep. In the evening, we woke up. We packed our luggage and got ready to return. Eventually, it began to rain heavily. The heavy rain obscured the dazzling and beautiful sight of river. We rode home in the pouring rain of summer. This was really a wonderful day to be cherished in our memory.
