attending the "mawlid" at one of the Islamic boarding schools, (celebrating the birth of the prophet Muhammad)

Today I and my friends went to attend the birthday of the prophet at one of the Islamic boarding schools, and at the same time stay in touch with friends there. Maulid is an event for the great prophet Muhammad saw, this event is held once a year and this event has become a hereditary tradition from our ancestors until now, in each region it may be different in how the event is held and in my place the birthday event is made very large, many food dishes prepared by the community,

In this dish there are various kinds of fish, soup, up to mutton, chicken, salted eggs and there are also other fruits, the most interesting thing about this event is, everyone gathers in the mosque and eats together if it's not time to eat then it's okay you take it home and later we will provide a plastic bag for us to put food in and take it home, we can take food that has not been eaten yet we can take it home.

And this event lasts all day from morning to evening, these food dishes all come from the community, they cook themselves at home and then neatly arranged and delivered to the mosque, to be eaten by every invited guest, the invited guests themselves come from the village and also village neighbors, and usually the number of people who attend birthday events like this is hundreds of people and some even arrive depending on whether the event is big or not, this is a custom that is still maintained until now, thank you for reading my post, have a nice day.
