In my country, men are seen as the ones to cross two legs, read newspapers and watch live matches 馃槀 while their wives labour in the kitchen after the day's work, guide the children in the school assignment, wash coolers against the next day and even iron uniforms. For wives that are career women, they also have office work brought home. The ones that are teachers have lesson notes to write.
Is it out of place if a man helps out? Depending on where you live, men are sometimes seen as weak or charmed if they do chores supposedly meant for women. Is that how you too see it?
Ask me, I will tell you I know men who help out. I will worship (if possible) that man that cares for me and knows when to step in. For their wives sake, some men are ready to be called names provided they support their wives.
A very very busy man I know called me up tonight and inquired how he would make a particular soup.Despite his busy day at work today is, he said he wants to cook for his family today. I was so glad to hear that. With a voice note on WhatsApp, I gave him the recipe for the soup he mentioned, before long (like 1:30mins later) he messaged me that he was about to pound yams. 馃槀
I felt like giving him a hug through the phone. Finally I called to say send me a picture of the meal you made but he said his family had rushed the food,it was all finished
Love in a marriage thrives better when both parties are ready to help. Do not listen to those who say things that can ruin your relationship with your mate. Support one another and be there for each member of the family.
Hey, how about you? Do you sometimes cook for your mate? Do you see cooking as a job for women? I am still looking for where it appeared in the bible that women should cook and do all the chores. The last time I checked, women are helpmates. We are only there to help you.men. 馃槀
Thanks all, for your visit. It's highly appreciated.
