So Google/YouTube has done another massive monetisation clampdown. A lot of the creators formerly earning a living on there are now scrambling for a new home. A number of them have actually gone to DLive, believe it or not.
Every time I've come across one of these people, I've dropped a hint about Steem/Dtube.
The more 'free-speech' related ones I've mentioned 3Speak.
Well, that's just the thing. See, these content creators are desperate to have their YouTube followers come with them to whatever platform they're migrating to. Someone with 2 million loyal followers can easily bring about 10% (200,000) active consumers along with them.
That's crazy! And it's more than the number of active users we have right now. Consider that.
Also, these are usually non-creative consumers who will probably be happy to buy tokens in order to support their creator. I think the benefits of that for our blockchain are obvious.
So if you come across one of those affected influencers, do leave them a link to Steem. This is our chance.
