A handful of awesome Steemians met in the heart of West London yesterday in the middle of the day. There were laptops, there were phones, there was food and there was coffee. I guess you can call it a working meetup.

I thought it was an opportunity to hang out with awesome like-minded people in a chilled out environment where we could actually hear each other talk and get some work done at the same time. What a good idea it turned out to be.

I had a few questions in mind to ask people in the group, all of which were answered, thanks to the more experienced Steemians / Cryptonians present. Actually, I learnt an awful lot, including the following;

Buying Steem: when does it make sense?
How to get Fiat cash in and out of the Steem ecosystem.
Bots, Steem Delegation, Optimising Steem Dollars vs Steem Power
Crypto wallets

I’m grateful to everyone that was there. Special thanks to @JJ and @ultravioletmag for sharing all the knowledge with the group and the live demos. It was really helpful for a noobie like me to see these things done in real time. Thank you.

Shoutout to all the others present for the great conversations - both Steemit and non-Steemit related. I feel like I’ve grown as a person after the meeting.

I also got to meet the man himself, @themikepitt for the first time, after having been engaging with each other on YouTube, and meaning to collaborate on there, for over a year! Thanks Mike also for the organisational role you played in putting the meet up together.
