Bit more of a beast today. It was going to be one of my regular walks over to a nearby village and back and would have been around the 11-12k range, but I took a bit of a detour!
It all started with some council workers felling trees along my route, so I went back on myself and down another path. Initially it was great as I was meaning to check out where that led and connected. However, after a wrong turn I wasn't where I was supposed to be.
No matter, I did a bit of a circuit and headed back home but on unfamiliar terrain the wrong turns didn't stop there. Somehow I managed to come right back to a spot I had been in earlier. On the plus side, I could now head in the right direction and go back the same way I started.
All in all a much longer walk, got a bit hotter as time went on and I wasn't slouching as I went round. A solid 3 hours of fast-paced action.
