This is my second post in my series on my favourite fruits, and today I'm going to talk about Papaya, my second favourite fruit after Watermelon! 馃槏

Papaya has slightly lower water content, at 88%, but it is still incredibly refreshing and hydrating. I've always found the taste almost like caramel, or toffee, but in fruit form. I love to eat Papaya for breakfast, or just after, for brunch, after I've had a breakfast of Watermelon.

When I eat Papaya, or any fruit, I always eat it just on it's own, as a mono meal. This is the best way to get the most benefit out of anything you eat, because when you only eat one thing, your digestive system can create the perfect internal environment, and the perfect pH balance, to digest that one thing.

When you combine different foods, especially foods that are quite different in structure or pH, you create an impossible problem for your digestive system to try and create two different sets of conditions in the same place at the same time, which obviously can't be done.

In nature our closest relatives in the animal kingdom, chimpanzees, are fruitarians, and their diets follow the fruiting patterns of trees. Their staple fruit is actually figs, as the fig is the only tree that produces fruit all year round. But they also eat other fruits, depending on what is in season. They will move from tree to tree, or from a group of trees to another group of trees, eating just the one fruit that the tree produces for as long as the fruiting window is open, and then they will move on to another tree.

Eating just one thing at a time, like chimpanzees do, allows us to gain the maximum nutritional benefit out of whatever we eat.

Eating light and eating minimalist, and fuelling our bodies with life life force energy in fruit means we have more of our own vitality left over to do what's really important, to live, to think clearly, to manifest the kind of existence we dream of having on this miracle planet!
