I only said that I dared to post in your community because I have seen other people with drawings of beginners, to post and receive support, it seemed normal to me that I would do the same. I don't see anywhere in my commentary a lack of respect for anyone.
You implied others peoples publications indirectly when you should have been focused on your own work. I don't agree with some posts here but I leave that to the discretion of the mods. There are cases when a work is near the bare minimum so they end up visible, cases when the mods aren't 24/7 to watch over what's posted on the community so some points will eventually get muted after two days of publication, and cases where plagiarism discovered days before payout.
When you try to make an argument that other people's works are for beginner level as your opinion, you compare your works to theirs and dragging the argument along with them. Understand that what you see on the trending page may be littered with muted posts in between but not visible on peakd.
I also said that I didn't think it was fair to be silenced as if I was committing plagiarism or my content was vulgar or offensive.
You're not silenced on the blockchain. You're silenced on peakd frontend. There's no total censorship here and if anyone wants to view your post on another frontend, they wouldn't see the atrocious tag peakd labels their muted posts. I disagree with how peakd phrases the notice but that's just me.
It seems to me that a reprimand would have been the fairest thing to do. For example: Hey, we respect your beginnings, but in this community we don't accept entry-level jobs. Please come back when your drawings are of good quality, because here we only like the work of experts. If you publish beginner's drawings again, we will have to silence you.
I think the mod here handled it well. There's no need to "reprimand" anyone for making this mistake. The mute was a necessity as the post also competes with the visual presentation on the frontend with other's work. And as you said, you saw publications that are beginner level for you, not having them muted may give other users an impression that it was ok too. This has been the way it's been done for weeks now and there were plenty of exceptions in between if the person made an appeal.
Your attitude will discourage anyone. Even more so when I have been on the platform for 3 years and have never been silenced by anyone.
Never been fun at parties. There's always a first time for everything. Take it as a constructive feedback that you're not yet there so strive to earn yourself a spot on the community's trending page or back away from it all and move on. The system to mute works not qualifying to the minimum standards will remain. And don't take it personal that your work isn't a fit for this community for now because people can still do better next time.
