The end of my expedition has finally arrived, the news that I am sending you are not too encouraging, my stay on this planet called "earth" has been a nightmare. This planet is headed for destruction, only unlike ours, the destruction of the earth is at the hands of its own inhabitants. In my training for this mission I had to learn about humans, but none of that could prepare me for what I experienced, many times I feared for my own survival, luckily I am already on my way to the research station. In the following lines, I will give you a preview of the most interesting and worrying points of my investigation.
The first thing I could observe is that the earth is a planet with great natural resources and full of possibilities for survival, however, the human race has had a significantly negative impact on the environment. As the human population increased and its technology advanced, deforestation, pollution and species extinction began to reign, all at the hand of humans. They have irreparably altered the ecological balance of this planet, and most continue to do so without contemplation.
Lately, there have been some efforts to try to solve these problems, but they only fool themselves. The human race still has a long way to go to realize that it is too late to try to achieve a sustainable future for their planet and all life forms that inhabit it.
Their level of self-destruction is not only limited to damaging their habitat, which in itself is bad enough, but they have also turned against themselves, they are a species full of violence, hatred and intolerance, throughout their history, the human race has lived in conflict with themselves, wars have led to the death of millions of people, the destruction of entire communities and the misery of many, they have taken peace away from themselves. Their conflicts are for the most ridiculous reasons: power and discrimination, they are incapable of realizing their fairness and how fortunate they are to have the possibility of sharing with their fellow man.
Seeing how they destroy, discriminate and hate each other, I have no doubt that if we turn to them for help for our species, they will not only turn their backs on us, but will try to destroy us at all costs, not without first exploiting our technology and would even be able to enslave us to do it.
The only thing that has helped me get through my time on this planet is the food invented by humans. Their diet is varied and is benefited by the goodness of their environment, besides, being a species with a great cultural diversity, this is reflected in their food, my only regret upon returning to the research station will be not tasting again an exquisite pizza.
Despite having something so good, one thing that has seemed completely illogical to me is that not everyone has access to these foods, there are a countless number of humans who starve to death, while others overfeed to the point of causing diseases that also lead to death. Their destructive and selfish nature has corrupted one of the best things they invented.
It is clear that cooperation with the reigning species is virtually impossible. We must continue to search and proceed to cautiously withdraw from this planetary system.
This is all my report for the moment.
This has been my participation for the #weekend-engagement: WEEK 140, on the theme "The aliens"
Happy weekend to all of you!
