Our pets are important to us and we come to love them as a member of the family, so when we notice any change in them that we believe may be an ailment or disease is important to attend the vet, so a few days ago I had to take my smallest kitten to the vet, in this publication I will tell you the reason for that visit and how things turned out.

Rusa is 2 years old, she is the smallest of the herd next to Greta, this little ball of fur has a strong character, she is not a lover of cuddles, that is to say she likes to be petted, but not to be held and hugged, when I do the latter she growls, like saying let me go human, keep your distance.

On the other hand, although she is gray, she is the daughter of a Siamese cat, but her father is a common gray cat and that is why she inherited this color, among one of the characteristics of Siamese cats, is their predisposition to suffer from gingivitis, in fact, my cat Pocholo suffers from gingivitis as I have already told you in previous publications.

Now, you may remember that about three months ago or more, Rusa was taken to the vet as she apparently fell asleep and fell out of the window and hit her nose and muzzle, upon arrival at the vet and examination he noticed that she lost many of her front teeth.

In the same way, since that fall, her slowness was getting worse and worse, she smelled very, very bad, so bad that I thought that although the vet had told me that her teeth had been lost from the root, some of them had been left there and that is why her mouth was stinking, so I wrote to the vet and he immediately told me to take her to the vet.

On the other hand, a friend of mine named Tomasina noticed some time ago that one of her cats had a recurrence of a kind of black spot on his nose, but it was getting bigger and bigger, so we took the opportunity to take him to the vet.

So once at the vet it turned out that Rusa has a terrible gingivitis, she must take antibiotics for 15 days and I must eliminate all the plastic containers in which the herd used to drink water, since gingivitis is contagious and plastic tends to accumulate a lot of bacteria, in fact the Rusa and Pocholo should drink water in different containers, but this is impossible at home, so for now I will only choose to discard these containers, use only the stainless steel and ceramic ones and start the treatment with Rusa, besides I should clean everyone's gums with Peridont for a few days, to prevent.

On the other hand, as for Tomas, my friend Tomasina's cat, the pimple on his nose turned out to be the beginning of a fungus and must be treated for 21 days for it to disappear, and the vet said that fortunately he was taken to the vet on time.

Thank you for reading.png

Finally, both Rusa and Tomas are already in treatment and much better, so this is a proof of what I have repeated in previous publications, when I point out how important is a visit to the vet in time, to prevent and/or attack in time some pathologies in our beloved furry ones, now I say goodbye until a next publication and looking forward to read your comments.
