A little more about the cats from our vet clinic. I call them emotional support cats. Formally, they do not belong to the clinic, they just live there, because the owner does not mind.
So, our new acquaintance. Zhulya and I were sitting outside near the vet clinic and waiting for the test results. Zhulia didn't feel well, I was nervous. When my dogs are sick, it's always a huge stress for me. This is the state when you don't even read a book, and you can't think about anything on your phone, you just sit and wait.
And then this cat appeared. I've never seen her here before and at first I was a little tense.
I didn't see where exactly it came from. The cat looked at us, thought for a second, came closer and jumped on the bench where I was sitting. The unexpected guest rubbed against my hand, settled down next to me and began to purr. As if someone from the top of the Universe told her: over there a person is worried and the dog suffers, go figure it out.
When I told our doctor about it, she said that no one knows whose cat it is and where it comes from. It's not the first time she comes to people near the clinic like this. A local cat of emotional support, without a record and without a diploma, but works better than any specialist π
Zhulya almost didn't react to her - she was lying next to her, quiet and sad. And the cat just sat and purred. And you know, it really got easier. Not because the situation has changed, it's just that this living warm creature is nearby - it somehow calms down by itself.
By the way, the tests were not as scary as I thought. We will be treated, but nothing critical. I exhaled.
In general, I noticed a long time ago that there are always some animals near the vet clinics. As if they understand that there are people and animals who need company. Or I'm already making it up because I want to believe it π
