Today was the hottest day in Germany so far. In Rheinfelden (a town on the border to Switzerland, near Basel) 38.5 degrees Celsius were measured.
In my area the maximum temperature was about 33 degrees. That was reason enough for me to use the cooler morning for an 8 km run.
Therefore I spent most of today at home. For dinner we had spaghetti with a homemade tomato sauce, topped with parmesan cheese and two flowers of nasturtium. Tomatoes and nasturtium from the balcony!

Heute war bis jetzt der heißeste Tag in Deutschland. In Rheinfelden (Ort an der Grenze zur Schweiz, Nähe Basel) wurden 38,5 Grad Celsius gemessen.
In meiner Gegend lag die Höchsttemperatur bei etwa 33 Grad. Das war für mich schon Grund genug, den kühleren Morgen für einen 8 km Lauf zu nutzen.
Ich verbrachte deshalb den heutigen Tag auch überwiegend zuhause. Zum Abendessen gab es Spaghetti mit einer selbstgemachten Tomatensauce, garniert mit Parmesankäse und zwei Blüten der Kapuzinerkresse. Tomaten und Kapuzinerkresse vom Balkon!
