Sportscheck City-Run 2019

I actually succeeded in running 10 km in this terrible heat. Unfortunately I could not keep my training times of the last weeks, but what the heck! With 33 degrees of brutal sun, which was blasting down from the clear blue sky, everyone was gasping for air.

At least five runners were lying at the edge of the track in the meadow and needed medical help. I didn't want to take any risks at all and thanks to my chest pulse belt I always stayed well informed about my condition. I definitely wanted to stay in the aerobical zone, which is in my case about 150 heartbeats per minute.

You can see my times and details below, they are not really good, but I intend to take part in the next 10 km run again and then my performance will certainly be better.

Many thanks to Max @mcnestler, who motivated me to do this wonderful sport and I think it was not the first time that we took part in such an event together. Please have a look at his post about the running-event and give him please a nice upvote.

Ich hab es tatsächlich geschafft bei dieser Affenhitze 10 km zu laufen. Leider hab ich meine Trainingszeiten der letzten Wochen nicht halten können, aber was soll's! Bei 33 Grad brutaler Sonne, die auf jeden herunterknallte, war jeder am Stöhnen.

Mindestens fünf Läufer lagen am Streckenrand in der Wiese und brauchten ärztliche Hilfe. Ich wollte absolut kein Risiko eingehen und blieb dank meines Brustpulsgurts immer gut informiert, wie es konditionsmäßig um mir steht. Ich wollte auf jeden Fall in der aeroben Zone bleiben, was bei mir ca. 150 Herzschläge pro Minute sind.

Meine Zeiten könnt ihr unten sehen, berauschend sind sie nicht, aber ich habe vor, beim nächsten 10 km Lauf wieder mitzumachen und dann wird es bestimmt besser sein.

Vielen Dank an Max @mcnestler, der mich zu diesem wundervollen Sport motiviert hat und ich denke, es war nicht das erste Mal, dass wir gemeinsam an so einem Event teilgenommen haben. Bitte schaut euch auch seinen Post über den Lauf an und gebt ihm ein kräftiges upvote.
