@smartsteem actually has a great new update and I think it's worth reading if you are interested in seeing innovations in Bid bot services, something that becomes more exciting as you actually own more and more Steempower. For those that don't it is still cool to use these services, & isn't it just amazing to see how complex the steem ecosystem and economy really is? Bitcoin or ethereum don't have these sorts of systems. Only EOS will have anything like steem, and as EOS becomes more popular, it will bring notoriety and legitimacy to Steem because they both work on DPOS, which is not really in favor but it is BECOMING more and more popular as Proof of Work is understood more and more to be nothing more than a Mafia at this point, yes POW was a needed technology to DISTRIBUTE Bitcoin around the world to whoever had a CPU but now that its completed, there is no real need for POW as a MAIN money. It may just be used for anonymous cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin private or Monero, but DPOS is the future and I don't see much need for POW with even Bitcoin becoming DPOS or POS as a possibility when people get tired of wasting money mining. But perhaps we will always have POW mining, maybe we will value it as a society? I doubt it, but that won't make Bitcoins any less valuable. Mining WILL continue to be profitable when Bitcoin price goes back up, until difficulty catches up with the price, but will see Bitcoin but ALWAYS in a general uptrend. But DPOS will dominate the GROWTH sector.
