Some fancy cloud formations at sunset that I would like to post for today, shot some three years ago
This time, I actually have some shots before the sun sets... while it was still high above the horizon
Somehow, this sunset was a stretched out affair lasting some 25 mins... instead of the usual quick hit-and-run event!
Guess Mother Nature has her lazy leisurely days too! 😏
And last but not least, I'm posting this for #SunThursday started off by @uwelang, a long long time ago! 😉
A big huge dark cloud almost spoils the sunset...
However, the stubborn sun sticks around as you can see
Throwing rays out, far and wide
And even under, plus a warm glow
Even though the people under that dark cloud would be expecting a heavy shower!
I was also impressed with the cloud shapes and forms high above in the sky, in the bright sunlight
Sun peeks out, and I get a sunburst!
Yayyyyyyyyyyy!
Things are looking brighter already....
After about 20 minutes - I told you things were slow that day... - most of the 'drama' cleared and the scene seemed a lot calmer
The ugly dark cloud dissipated some...
and the sun finally appeared under it
Heading for a touchdown....
I loved the fluff of white clouds above...
And took some close-ups of it!
As usual, some one bird comes along for a photobomb!
Do I mind?
What do you think...? 😊
10 minutes, and we have a full view of the sun
With quite a pretty scene of its own!
Still loving the white fluffs above...
Time check: 7:15pm
All the above started at about 6:40pm
Seeee, told you it was a long-drawn out sunset!
Guess that dark cloud added to the dramatics and beauty of the atmosphere
