Some scrobble updates today, I tried to take it a bit easier since I didn't do that during the weekend.
Looked into some issues that were affecting a user where their youtube songs weren't being scrobbled, ended up updating the extension for firefox since firefox had had an update recently we thought may be affecting it. Turns out, it still didn't work and other firefox users didn't have that issue, looking into it further it suddenly started working for the user on its own. Sometimes it do be like that.
I then noticed an issue with how 
I then noticed that the VPS was taking quite some storage so looked into what that may be, turns out it stored pages people had been on in forever to be able to faster load them when they open those up again (instead of fetching info from the chain). This was a bit unnecessary longterm so I decided to add an auto-deleter for these, which means that if no one's opened up a page in 30 days, they're going to have to wait for a cold load.
Set up Consumer rewards as the first beneficiaries had started coming in. For those unaware, the 10% beneficiares on posts in the community (and other communities), basically if you post through scrobble.life, we'll add a 10% beneficiary to the post. These are not something that go to "us", the front-end/platform/myself, these will be used for consumer rewards. Altho as you know Hive makes things a bit hard at times with half of rewards coming in as staked. Not sure how I'm going to deal with that, however, we decided that easiest is to do weekly consumer rewards rather than daily. This means that users using the website will be receiving the 10% from beneficiaries (although half for now, maybe we can figure out something else with the staked rewards later), simply for using the website. Don't try to game and cheat this system however, the parameters will not be made public and there's many layers of protection to avoid farms, if caught attempting to purposely abuse it we will simply ban your account from the rewards. This is meant as something extra to encourage and incentivize manual curation, engagement and consumption of posts of all ages and not as something to strive to maximize or steal from others.
At the end of the day I continued work with creator subscriptions, primarily on sub gifts and to avoid it giving gifts to just about anyone (bots/inactive accounts/etc), so it'll attempt to be a bit picky if someone is feeling generous to wanna gift a creator subs, it'll try and give them to users they engage and interact with in different ways before shooting at other active users who may be interested in that creator but don't have much correlation with each other yet.
Some more UX improvements, when scrolling on a certain feed, if you open a post and are done and wanna get back to where you were, that's now implemented. I.e. the site will remember where on the feed you were and take you back rather than refreshing the feed once again forcing you to scroll where you left off. Something common for most platforms but wasn't built in by default on scrobble.life.
/quicktakes and /reviews received some more filters and guest accounts can now also reply to "guest" social activity, i.e. not on-chain comments/replies. Guest accounts can now also collect consumer rewards which will remain with the 
Some more additions to Quests.
Some other smaller fixes/ux things.

Tomorrow I'll make a short post about some decentmemes updates once I finish them as to keep them separate from scrobble.life posts, thanks for reading and using scrobble.life! We reached the 50 scrobbler milestone recently, which means over 50 users have at one point installed and logged into the extension to scrobble at least one song/video which is nice as that's the biggest barrier of entry (since it requires a hive/guest login + extension download which many may be put off by). I do not have data as to how many users may have logged movies/other however at this time, since that does not require the extension, but maybe I'll bother checking on that another day. Cheers!
