This is my first post on POB and it's gonna be a crypto one. I know, I could simply post it to Leofinance, as I have done with similar ones for the past nine months or so, but I want to test POB as well and I am already updated with what's encouraged and not as content on POB.
I was looking at my portfolio lately and it's down since April, this year. It's 3x lower the value it had three months ago. Something in me got angry and frustrated last night because if I would have sold a portion of it I wouldn't need to spend that much out of my savings now, but I was greedy, I admit that.
I acknowledge at the same time that I am not a good trader and I have no clue how well would I have traded the current market conditions, maybe I would have wasted the profits I had back in April, thus making a potential profits taking a bad move.
On the other hand I am thinking of the crypto OGs that this space has, some of them being among us on Hive as well... How many times have they gone through this? How many times they got to see BTC loosing 60%-90% in value in just a couple of months?
Over time though the trend has still been up and continues to be an uptrend because whether some like it or not, crypto is an idea who's time has come and its value is somehow poised to grow. Over night riches are rare, thus I believe the ones that made fortunes in this thing, have balls, patience and nerves.
You have to be grounded in what got into this to not panic sell, to not capitulate near the bottom and also to have the balls to buy when there's blood on the street and sell when all the noobs are calling for mooning. I haven't gotten to that level yet, my portfolio is definitely not a proof of brain, but haven't been shaken out either.
How's your portfolio and your state of mind during the times we have in crypto?
Thanks for attention,
Adrian
